An advanced threaded server
model is used to provide a fast and
reliable middleware interface between the
client devices and backoffice
applications.
Fast and
Reliable
Due to the low bandwith and data
loss characteristics of data
packet radio networks we have
developed a "slimline"
custom protocol with hand-shaking
and retry strategies. This means
that data is transfered at high
speed with no "in
transfer" data loss, both
the client and server will keep
sending a message until a
confirmation is received from its
peer.
Extensive
Logging
Extensive research and
development was carried out
including "on the road"
trialling allowing us to find the
optimum layout to create an easy
to use informative interface
Full client
management
Simply manage your active mobile
data devices via the NX
server, the informative device
overview window is a simple yet
effective tool. At a glance you
can see which devices you have
logged in and their current
state, you can also perform
several useful management
functions such as changing
various settings on the device,
forcing the device to upgrade or
logout, send messages to the
driver and even maintain data
files stored on the device.
Load
balancing
The NX
server is highly configurable and
allows the system administrator
to balance the work load by
tweeking the servers
configuration and even share the
load across two or more gateways.
Mission
Critical
Each NX
server can have its own backup
"fail-over" server
which will automatically come
online if the primary server
fails.
We know the meaning of real-time
and mission critical applications
so we have developed a second
minder application that monitors
the state of the NX
Server and attempts to correct
any problems as well as informing
a system administrator. The
server also carries out its own
automatic updates and self
maintainence!
Expandability The NX
server endeavours to be highly
expandable, each server can
support up to 3870 unique devices
depending on load and network
capacities and there can be
multiple servers running at any
single site
All of the
above functionality for a fixed monthly
price equivalent to a mobile phone!

of implementing mobile data within your
organisation, make an informed decision
